Key Updates for U13

Start Dates: All U13 competitive players will begin tryouts with two sessions:

Saturday, September 12 – Skills session
Sunday, September 13 – Intersquad game

These two sessions will serve as Stage 1 and Stage 2 for all players. Following the September 13th session, approximately 30 - 40 players will be selected to continue in the U13-AAA process based on evaluations over the weekend.
Players not continuing with AAA will move into the AA/A/B process beginning on or after September 20th
A parent/player Zoom meeting will be scheduled on September 14th for those continuing in the AAA process to review expectations (commitment, schedule, and financial considerations).
Schedule will be posted on the U13 Tryout page no later than one week prior, along with groupings
Parents are reminded that they are not permitted to watch tryouts from ice level or remain in the hallway area of Rink D. Viewing must take place from the designated spectator areas only.

Tryout Jerseys & Socks – Mandatory Requirements

Each player will be issued a reversible tryout jersey at check-in. This tryout jersey will be unique to them and be used for the entirety of the 2026-27 evaluation process. Players are responsible for bringing it to every scheduled session.
If a player does not have their assigned jersey, they will not be permitted to participate in that session. Missing a session will directly impact their overall evaluation.
At the conclusion of tryouts, team managers will collect all tryout jerseys once teams are finalized. Jerseys will then be exchanged with our equipment manager for game jerseys. Any missing tryout jerseys must be replaced at the player’s expense (approximately $50 per jersey).
All players must wear Bedford Minor Hockey socks or plain blue, black, or white socks. Brightly coloured socks or socks from other teams/programs are not permitted.
