Bedford Mooseheads

U15-C

Season Starts with a Big Home Opener Win for the Mighty Moose

The Mooseheads opened their season with a strong team performance, securing a decisive 7-2 victory over the Chebucto Warriors (U15) at the Lebrun Recreation Center. From puck drop, Bedford asserted themselves with crisp passing, timely forechecking, and a balanced attack. Leading the charge, forwards delivered key goals in each frame, while the stingy defense limited the Warriors to minimal quality chances. Goaltending stood tall, making several vital stops throughout the game as Chebucto attempted a comeback.

Chebucto opened the scoring at 8:05 of the first period, followed by two quick Moosehead goals at 5:24 (short-handed #15 Jake Fleming, #20 Alain Gerard assist) and 4:59 (#11 Nimrod Broide). The Mooseheads continued the pressure in the second period with a goal at 9:02 (#6 Alec MacLean; #15 Fleming assist); this would end up being the game winner. Goals at 8:06 (#20 Gerard), 6:47 (#19 Ben Oldham-Gage, #12 Teige O'Connor assist), and a short-handed goal at 4:45 (#15 Fleming) rounded out the second period. Third period action saw another Bedford goal at 8:29 (#3 Mason Miller) followed by Chebucto's second goal at 5:20 as the Warriors showed no quit right to the end.

Mooseheads are back in action Sunday, November 2 as they take on the TASA Mighty Ducks at Greenfoot Energy Center. Puck drops at 11:15am.
